Recovery Strategy for the Woodland Caribou (Rangifer tarandus caribou), Atlantic-Gaspésie Population, in Canada

The Minister of Environment and Climate Change is the competent minister under SARA for the Woodland Caribou, Atlantic-Gaspésie population, and has prepared this recovery strategy in accordance with section 37 of SARA. To the extent possible, it has been prepared in cooperation with the Quebec government (Department of Forests, Wildlife and Parks [MFFP]) as per section 39(1) of SARA.

In light of the current Covid-19 pandemic, the 60-day public comment period on the proposed Recovery Strategy for the Woodland Caribou (Rangifer tarandus caribou), Atlantic-Gaspésie Population, in Canada has been extended to 90 days to provide sufficient time for feedback.

Consultation period: 2020-09-17 to 2020-12-15
