Recovery Strategy for the Wood Turtle (Glyptemys insculpta) in Canada
The Minister of the Environment and the Minister responsible for the Parks Canada Agency are the competent ministers for the recovery of the Wood Turtle and have prepared this strategy in accordance with section 37 of SARA. It has been prepared in cooperation with the Department of National Defence, the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministère des Forêts, de la Faune et des Parcs du Québec (MFFP), the Department of Natural Resources of New Brunswick, the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources, and the Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg First Nation.
