Recovery Strategy for the Porsild’s Bryum (Haplodontium macrocarpum) in Canada

The Minister of the Environment and the Minister responsible for the Parks Canada Agency are the competent ministers for the recovery of the Porsild’s Bryum and have prepared this strategy, as per section 37 of SARA. It has been prepared in cooperation with the Provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, and Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as the Territory of Nunavut, and the Nunavut Wildlife Management Board.

The Recovery Strategy for the Porsild’s Bryum was originally posted in 2014. It has been amended for the purpose aligning the scientific name of Porsild’s Bryum with that on Schedule 1 of the Species at Risk Act, which is Mielichhoferia macrocarpa.
